Baby Oil
Most parents use baby oil to soothe baby’s skin after a bath. In fact it is one of the best products you can use to keep baby’s skin soft and smooth. However, there are dozens of other uses for baby oil that you might not know about. Here are a few examples:
As Massage Oil- Massage is great for loosening tight muscles on babies and adults. And, using baby oil for massage is a simple and practical. It’s far less expensive than other typical massage oils and is safe for baby’s sensitive skin. For adults, you can add some herbs or fragrance if you like scented massage oil.
To Make Shower Gel More Moisturizing – Add half a cup of baby oil right to the bottle of your favorite shower gel. After just a few showers with this super moisturizing shower gel your skin will be softer than ever.
For Tanning – Baby oil can help your skin turn a golden brown during tanning. Plus, it helps counteract the sun’s drying effects on the skin. Be careful, however, as baby oil contains no sunscreen. It’s easy to get burned.
For Dry, Cracking Feet – Scrub your feet with an exfoliating scrub in the evening before bed. Then, slather them with baby oil and put on a pair of socks. Wear the socks all night. After a few nights of this treatment, your dry skin should be much better.
As A Furniture Polish – After cleaning, rub a small amount of baby oil on your furniture. It leaves a beautiful shine. Don’t use too much, however, or your furniture will become a dust magnet.
To Soften Cuticles – Baby oil is a great way to keep cuticles soft and prevent hangnails. It helps keep your fingernails from being brittle, too.
To Polish Shoes – A bit of baby oil rubbed on your leather shoes will make them shine like new.
To Remove Stains On Skin – Baby oil will remove many stains from skin. For example, paint, temporary tattoos and many types of magic marker can be removed with baby oil.
To Remove Squeaks – Squeaks in door hinges and other mechanical items can be quieted with a little baby oil.
Chances are there’s a bottle of baby oil in your bathroom cabinet. However, chances are that you had no idea of all the things you can do with that little bottle of baby oil.
